Marvella Mobile Brings Empowerment on Wheels to WNBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., July 11, 2025 — As the excitement builds around WNBA All-Star Weekend, Marvella is proud to bring its mission to life through Marvella Mobile. Marvella Mobile is a traveling sports and leadership lab designed to inspire and equip the next generation of girls through sport, wellness, and storytelling.

From July 17–20, Marvella Mobile will roll into Indianapolis for four days of meaningful community activations — blending athletic play, mental health awareness, and conversations around health equity.

Marvella representatives will be available throughout the week for media interviews related to Marvella Mobile, the Marvella project and WNBA All-Star festivities taking place throughout the city. Contact Lauren Schregardus (Lauren@barcommunications.com) to schedule.

JULY 17: Marvella Mobile Launch at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Location: Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, 3000 N Meridian St, Indianapolis, IN 46208

In partnership with Tamika Catchings’ Catch the Stars Foundation, Marvella Mobile will launch alongside Tamika’s youth basketball clinic. With support provided by Lucas Oil and Taft,  this event will feature a multi-sport clinic at the Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience, incorporating physical literacy, mental health tips and leadership inspiration.

With support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF), Marvella has curated inspiring messages from Tamika, Lauren Holiday and Jackie Joyner-Kersee  about overcoming adversity and pursuing health equity. The messages will be delivered using Spokenote’s innovative technology linked through QR codes on trading cards given to the clinic participants.


 

JULY 18: Marvella Mobile Downtown Indianapolis

9:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Location:  North curb of Maryland just East of Westin Lane (Hudnut Commons)

Marvella Mobile will have a dedicated spot near the WNBA All-Star festivities and will interact with many fans and visitors, such as the WNBA Live fan festival presented by Panini at the Indiana Convention Center across the street. Marvella Mobile will have two pop-a-shot stations and VR sports experiences alongside mental health, wellness and leadership programming.

JULY 19: Marvella Mobile Downtown Indianapolis:  

7:30 AM to 9:00 AM

Location: On North Street adjacent to the American Legion Mall

Marvella Mobile will be activated during registration. 2,500 youth are expected at the All-Star Bounce, a half-mile non-competitive dribble route from the American Legion Mall to Monument Circle

10:00 AM to 8:00 PM

Location: North curb of Maryland just East of Westin Lane (Hudnut Commons)

Marvella Mobile will have a dedicated spot near the WNBA All-Star festivities and will interact with many fans and visitors, such as the 2,500 youth expected at the All-Star Bounce, a half-mile non-competitive dribble route from the American Legion Mall to Monument Circle and the WNBA Live fan festival presented by Panini at the Indiana Convention Center across the street. Marvella Mobile will have two pop-a-shot stations and VR sports experiences alongside mental health, wellness and leadership programming. Kids and families will create “Marvella Moments” on video and take home branded swag.

JULY 20: Marvella Mobile at Newfields

2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Location: Newfields, 4000 Michigan Rd, Indianapolis, IN  46208

In partnership with Catch the Stars Foundation, Marvella Mobile will participate in the Foundation’s signature Back to School Celebration at Newfields. Children in need of backpacks for the upcoming school year will visit booths of a variety of community organizations, earn a stamp, and secure a backpack filled with a multitude of school supplies.

 

 

Ongoing All-Star Weekend Partnership: Sun King Brewing x The Sports Bra

In a celebration of community, beer, and basketball, Sun King Brewing and The Sports Bra – Indianapolis have teamed up to support Marvella during All-Star Weekend with a high-visibility merch pop-up and giveback campaign.

Hosted at Sun King’s downtown taproom, the pop-up will offer early access to Sports Bra merchandise ahead of their Indy grand opening. Even better — $1 from every pint sold and 1% of all merch sales on July 18 and 19 will directly benefit the Marvella Foundation. Funds raised will go toward initiatives like Marvella Mobile and Nancy’s Dream, a scholarship program supporting girls from low-income, veteran, and single-parent households.
